I need a DSLR bad! Its too difficult to decide which one! Nikon D40, D80 or maybe a canon?

i would seriously stay away from the D40. it has no autofocus motor, which means you can only use AF-S or AF-I lenses. Maybe this is fine, but some of the best lenses simply won't work on this camera.

between nikon and canon, both are great. you can't really go wrong. pick the one that feels the best in your hand. However, I think right now the TSi has the top spot given it's video capabilities.
