Part two of the Treasure Island Music Festival
So, after the first post there was another 6+ hours of music to been seen! It definitely got a lot more crowded, and the afternoon highlights
included The Dodos, Vampire Weekend, The Kills, and The Raconteurs. Vampire Weekend was true to form, and just played a killer live set.
His voice really set them apart from the rest of the bands. The Kills were the only band that managed to wake me up. The lead
singer was vicious, and those guitar rifts almost knocked me over.
Very impressive stuff...until I saw the next band. Now, I've got to preface this by saying I don't even really like this
band, but when the Raconteurs came on stage I was in awww of their
rock skillz. We'd been watching amateurs all day, and these guys
looked, sounded, and felt like they did this full time. Very
impressive stuff. Blue Viens in particular.
